PR Account Coordinator

Location: Full time Remote
Reports To: Account Supervisor
FLSA Status: Exempt

StreetCred has remote offices in metro areas across the continental United States: Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, Dallas, Boston, San Francisco and Chicago, to name a few. We have established a reputation as a results-driven and client-service first organization, led by long-term financial public relations professionals who love what they do and who they do it for. Position Summary:

The StreetCred PR Account Coordinator is a key part of our PR teams and is responsible for several important client campaign functions. This is the first step in what one would hope would be a long and fulfilling career. We’re seeking candidates who are team players – self-starters who possess an energized and curious spirit. You must maintain a client-first mentality, be intellectually engaged and committed to your craft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participating in biweekly and ad-hoc client calls
  • Taking detailed notes and determining action items for internal PR team and clients
  • Delivering client campaign agendas ahead of meetings and providing detailed call recaps
  • Voraciously consuming financial services content, including prominent national and industry trade media – maintaining a commitment to learning and constant improvement
  • Ideating alongside the team on proactive pitches and other client stories, paying close attention to financial services news and trends
  • Participating in the drafting of focused pitches and press releases around client news and initiatives
  • Learning how to proactively and effectively pitch reporters, securing interviews and opportunities for media coverage on a consistent basis
  • Researching media outlets/journalists to thoughtfully assemble media lists in line with StreetCred best practices
  • Identifying appropriate awards to pursue for clients and researching conferences and event clients should consider attending
  • Assisting in drafting compelling social media posts for clients regarding earned coverage
  • Assembling initial drafts of client reports that encapsulate your PR team’s proactive activities

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial services communications and/or in-house or agency PR experience, or journalism experience – or a college degree with a focus on PR/communications and/or finance
  • Strong interest in working with financial services clients
  • Passion to help our clients grow and succeed
  • Extraordinary communication skills, both internally and with clients
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a broader team. Despite the remote nature of the position, accountability is key, and the expectation is that your work effort and ethic will be as robust as if you were physically in an office alongside your team every day
  • Effective at prioritizing workloads and able to work across multiple client accounts in parallel
  • Familiar with various social media, including Twitter/X, LinkedIn and Instagram, with experience creating compelling posts
  • Strong writing and project management skills
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack is a plus
